Halloween

As I unfortunately am working as many hours as I can to save for my move, this year is the first year I've had a rubbish Halloween costume and first year I've not done much to celebrate my favourite time of year.

After #CFW I headed off to meet friends for a house party. I felt terrible as it was but thought It'd be a great idea to drink whilst taking medication. This as I learnt is not a good idea :(.

I did quickly make a costume thought to attempt to get in the spirit. Using old Halloween decorations, fake blood and a old white t shirt, I proceeded to create some sort of costume. The outcome ..............

Lady gaga gone wrong / walking crime scene.

It's a long way off last years dead Katy kitty cat.

Top - New look
Leggings - New look
Sequined ears - asdas

This by far was my favourite costume. I got to add a pin up touch with my hair and I felt confident all night. At that time I had lost a lot of weight and I truly began to see it and felt gorgeous, sexy and confident all night.

What's everyones plans or costume ideas this year? Luckly it's payday for me so despite the early night for work the next day I think I might cuddle up with a pizza and a scary movie :)

A little helps

Hey guys. I'm still assuming this is still happening despite what's going on in New York at the moment. My little brother and sister Lloyd and Libby on the 10th nov, 6pm british time are walking to the crown of the statue of liberty which is 397 steps on a 27 storey building. They are collecting sponsors to raise money for LATCH. to donate please visit www.latchwales.org and support an amazing cause.

I'm so stupidly proud of them both as their doing it for a friend from school who's recently been diagnosed with cancer.

If anyone could take the time to donate a lil bit of spare cash to the charity I'd be grateful.

I'll definitely keep you updated for any news I hear. I'm on tender hooks at the moment as I'm unsure if their safe and okay but I'll update when I hear anything

My week

Last day of full time work (18 working days from today). New read. Missing my brother and sister who are currently in America waiting out hurricane Sandy. #CFW meet up. New disco pant dupes. Walking crime scene for hallowen. Ill in bed. Day off sick. Ear infection. Self promotion. New skirt and Disco pant dupes. Dark evenings waiting for buses.

#CFW

I was lucky enough to be invited along to Cardiff fashion week for an exclusive event held at Jamies italian and Saint David's 2 fashion catwalk/weekend . Before the event I met up with laura and had a browse through Vivienne Westwood. Even though payday isn't until Weds I'm going back on saturday to purchase this ring. I haven't yet made a purchase at the new Vivienne Westwood Cardiff store which actually kills me as I've now visited the store about three times. It almost feels un natural to have not taken the plunge but as I'm sure you'll agree it's worth the wait to treat myself next weekend.

I decided to wear my recently bought 'disco pant' dupes from very.com. I teamed this with my pu sleeve jacket and creepers. I added a touch a glam by wearing my Vivienne Westwood heart pendant (bought by my dad for my graduation present)

A few of us had arranged to meet up before the event and I couldn't contain my excitement at the idea of networking and meeting other bloggers who I could chat and socialise with. As of late I feel I've fallen off the networking wagon so it was lovely to meet such nice and welcoming bloggers whom I felt welcomed me to in to the group.

After trying the new salted caramel mocha in Starbucks we headed to Jamie's italian. The food was absolutely divine and I found myself sipping on some Prosecco for most of the evening whilst chatting away about beauty, fashion and the cutest little girl. (she'll definitely grow up to be a lil fashionista)

After chatting most of the night away and wining and dining we all slipped outside for the finale fashion show of the night.

(apologies for the rubbish quality)

It wasn't just a typical catwalk show. Each brand/trend/theme had a different dance routine. I especially enjoyed this as it wasn't just a typical walk it made the whole show exciting and a little bit more special.

I especially loved the last part of the show. Glittery elegant dresses, Tine Turner rolling on the river and lots of up beat dance moves to bring the show to a close.

I still have not got the hang of the panorama view but here's the ladies at Saint Davids nandos

After the show we headed to Nandos to warm up and exchange details. I feel truly blessed to have met such inspirational and lovely ladies. The whole day/evening was amazing and I can't wait to meet them all again before I move to London.

Here are the bloggers I met and their blogs

Laura: whatlauradid
Kelsey:cutepandaa
Georgina: makeup-pixi3
Stacey: bitchwithbite
Cariad: cariadity
Liz: tantibacix
Gem: fatfrocks

Can't wait to meet up and network a bit more with these ladies in the near future

Skin care

I posted a few weeks back about changing my skin routine. After years of treatment for my acne I was left with scared skin which made me feel even more self conscious in my adult years. With the only option of saving for  laser treatments I started a few courses of microdermabrasion. This helped for the short term and made my skin glow but with the harsh weather and stress from work my skins gotten worse. My acne tends to flare up alot and my skin has a redness to it that makes my scarring look terrible.

A brand that I've used for years is Clinique. I used the type 2 three step for years but recently I changed to their anti blemish range. The next three images (apologies for the quality now) are roughly 2/3 weeks apart. I started the range using travel size samples given to me from an extremely lovely women who works at the Clinique stand at boots Queen street Cardiff. I then bought the full size products after being impressed by the change in my skin in the short amount of time there was.

This photo was taken 17th Sept before using the product. My chin is where I tend to build up the majority of spots and my scars are extremly predominant on my cheeks. Due to the colouring of the image you can't pick up the redness in my skin but at this stage I wouldn't walk out the house with out make up covering my face.

6th October - after using the products for 3 weeks I saw a noticeable difference in my skin. I tend to find my skin flares up when my monthly friend comes to visit but this month it seemed to come and go with in the day. The redness in my skin also has died down to and my skins come a lot brighter and radiant.

October 21st - My skin is currently smooth, normal and spot free. I can't believe the change in my skin from 5 weeks ago. The biggest change I find is with make up . It tends to stay on my skin all day and I don't have to layer on top. Another factor I think that'd helped with my spots disappearing. My scars are still visible but due to the redness in my skin calming there a lot less noticeable.

I finally feel a bit more comfortable and confident in my skin and find I don't have to throw make up on as much or as thick as I used to. I still want to try some other products out from Clinique especially the  pore minimizer treatments but they are something I'll have to save for.

The anti blemish regime is something I will be sticking with for a long time thought and are products I'd recommend to anyone with problem adult skin

Aquababe

The 6th October I was fortunate to see Azealia Banks in the live flesh in Oxford. My two friends Sarah and Lauren and myself set off for a weekend away at lunch time. Starting in the hotel we headed straight to the concert venue. After 2-1-2ing for the majority of the night, we made our way to the busy, not to mention expensive streets of oxford where we told a lot of fabricated fibs. I was apparently on my hen weekend with the girls and it all spiraled from there.

Had an absolute blast the whole weekend though which made me realise how excited I am to start my adventure to London even more.

I dyed my hair back to black so my extensions made an appearance for the night. I also had a hair cut so my fringe was finally out of my eyes. I kept my make up simple using fake eye lashes to open my eyes up and a sheer pink lipstick to add colour to my outfit.

Here's a few snaps and my outfit I chose to wear......

Full time worker

So as I keep banging on about I'm making the move to London in December ready to intern with Anna Scholz and New Look Inspire so full time work in a call center has taken over my life. I only have 6 weeks left but my weeks have been consisting of 7am wake ups, lots of energy drinks, catching up on sleep and repeating this cycle continuously.

Even though I'm saving I am trying to treat myself to encourage me to keep at what I'm doing. This payday I've decided I need to buy some clothes seeing as I haven't now for possibly 6 weeks (this is a huge achievement for anyone that knows me.)

My mum received a money off thing for very.com and I've been wanting a disco pant dupe (this is the only site I've found them on in a size 20) so I took this as my chance to purchase.

Along with the disco pant dupe I took the chance to purchase this tartan pencil skirt and this pu sweatshirt dress. I love quirky one off pieces and with this being black I'm sure I can dress this in many different ways. I've also purchased these suspender tights to team with the sweatshirt.

I'm seeing Nicki Minaj (AGAIN) in two and abit weeks so I think this dress could be ideal to lead me from pre concert drinks to the concert to a night out perfectly.

I'll be sure to do a outfit post when these items have arrived

I also used a very treat code so I treated myself to a free book. It's called bared to you and supposed to be along the same lines as the 50 shades series (which I secretly loved as my holiday read earlier this year)
