Last friday night

So one of my friends natalie left today to head to Australia for a year. I'm extremely jealous as it's somewhere I'd love to go. After all my internships and depending on financial situations I'm hoping to head out there to work and travel a little bit. The plus size fashion industry is meant to be fab over there so if I gain the right contacts/info I'm hoping to emigrate with my knowledge and work there.

It was also a another friends 23rd birthday so Friday night was a big night out.

I chose to keep the Asos Curve baroque print skirt and styled it all together for the night.

I styled my hair in a sort of 50's pin up style with a curled fringe and deep curls. The weather hasn't been great and I always find that curls are weather proof and looked great whenever. My make up was kept simple with a little dash of black powder to create a smoky eye. My skin has changed dramatically in the past few weeks and I'm really happy with how smooth and how healthy it looked last night.

I was extremely nervous wearing the skirt due to the fact I've suddenly gained two little pockets of fat on the side of my thighs. The print didn't help but as soon as the girls came over and commented on how curvy and great I looked those nerves were pushed aside.

I had an amazing night and I hope the girls enjoyed the send off and birthday. I had one too many drinks but had a fab time. Only 4 weeks now until my send off WOO!

Asos curve

Makes Michaela a very happy happy girl.

I can't explain my love for this brand. I can look stylish and fashionable whilst feeling confident and happy, knowing the clothes fit and hug at the right places.

I'm hooked. I even suggested the brand to a few people who I chatted to on the phone in work. I'd shout off the top of the mountains if I could.

Christmas parties

Even thought I've left work I'm still making it a mission to get to the xmas party to say goodbye properly to everyone.

In my former place of work, after working there for three years I sadly received nothing to wish me luck on my move or any acknowledgment of my leaving ( no hard feelings aye? LOL)

After 9 weeks in my former job I had balloons, chocolates and sweets and a good luck card from the whole floor.

Even though I didn't really like the job, despite the figures suggesting I was the best out of the campaign ( go me ;) ) I worked with the best people and I'm really sad to have said goodbye.

anyway back to Christmas party outfits.

As well as crashing the do the night after if my leaving night out so I need two new outfits.

As soon as payday arrives I will be purchasing these.

The first outfit I fell in love with instantly. Being separate pieces, I can easily wear this top with jeans or possibly leggings to get the most wear out of it.
The second piece is a simple yet sexy piece. I could see me dressing this LBD in many different ways to get the most wear from it.
The third and final piece is a dress I instantly fell in love with. Polka dot is my favourite pattern and with the added floral it makes the dress stand out. I like how dressy I could make it yet how dressed down it can become.

I have a huge dilemma of what dress I'm going order. Both have their uses but I'm really not sure which one I'd get more use out of. Need a bit of advice girlies.
The night out is in Cardiff but we're going to an alternative night so I'm not sure if the black dress will be too much. I think the cleavage bit would be a bit too much for an at the office/day look .

I still haven't decided on accessories. Definitely thinking big clutch and some sort of statement jewellery.
Shoes are also something I'll have to decide. I can't do too big a heel. All depending on lengths etc I may have to purchase some new plain wedges to carry me through out the night.

£5 haul

Okay 'breathes.' With the move and the redecorating of my bedroom I need to get rid of shoes and clothing. I have sizes varying from size 16 to 22 and shoe sizes 8.

I've come up with an idea of a £5 haul. Every single item will be a fiver including shoes etc. Most items have been worn once or not at all (still with tags). Each item will of cost myself over £10 so I won't be trying to sell basic t shirts that cost £2 to begin with.

The only problem comes with postage. I think with my week off I'll go to the post office and price it up. Maybe if I set it at one cost for everyone in the UK?

Anyway ladies I basically wrote this post to ask what you think. Should I just directly do it here? or should I upload to ebay and set it at a buy it now price and post the link here for you ladies? (even thought ebay gets on my nerves)

I just need to get rid of it all and am in need of the extra money to save.

Xmas list so far

As I've gotten older christmas has become that time of year to get merry and actually spend time with the family rather than get loads of presents.

I've worked every christmas since the age of 16. that's four christmas's I've had to spend in a shop until 6 on xmas eve and then up on boxing day to get to work for 6am.

This year I'm finally having me time to sort out the move and to actually enjoy the season.

I've mainly asked for money to help fund myself in London and I'm also getting some new pieces of furniture in my room but there's some bits that I hope I can cheekily receive.

First of all a laptop case for my macbook.
I haven't had a case on my macbook the whole 3 years I've had it.  I've got the white one and over the years it's now become scuffed and dirty. I can't bare, or afford to part with it so I thought a quick cheap solution would be a case.
Of course if santa is reading this I would LOVE a new macbook ;).

Secondly, Lush snow fairy.
A seasonal treat from my favs Lush. I first bought this two years ago. The scent is to die for. I always say it's like Katy Perry in a bottle. I always try to stock up on bottles of this due to it only being available this time of year.

Thirdly, hair extensions.
Desperately need a new set of hair extensions. My ombre completely ruined my hair. No matter what products I used and still use my ends keep breaking. Hair extensions are a sort of security for me and I always feel a little bit more glamourous when I wear them. I don't wear them daily but I would love to have a weave again some time soon.

and last but in no ways least, both of these Vivienne Westwood rings.

I was supposed to purchase the gold ring on my last payday. Due to pay being messed about and other expenses becoming more important I couldn't make the purchase. Grown up and well behaved Mic is not something that happens often ;) but due to saving I had to become that side of Michaela.
I'm hoping because I've been soo well behaved Santa will treat me to either of these rings. (or some money so I can buy myself. XL by the way santa ;) )

What are you girls expecting under the tree? Asked Santa for anything?
