Asos sequined peplum top

So along with the majority of the UK me and the girls hit town this black friday to celebrate me leaving and christmas.

It was the perfect opportunity to wear the Asos sequined peplum top I had purchased in Nov. (It recently went in to the Asos Christmas sale and is now unavailable.)

I can't explain how happy I am with my figure and body at the moment but this top helped shape my curves amazingly. I've always been wary of the peplum style but I think it's something that really flatters my figure and helps exaggerate my curves in the right places.

The night ended in A&E where my friend had a accident and broke her ankle but apart from that it was brilliant. I felt confident all night but felt pretty sad seeing as it was the last time partying with the girls.

Did anyone else purchase this top?? or manage to in the sale? What did you all do to celebrate black Friday??

London Plus Size Fashion Weekend 2013

London FW

I’m so excited to say that I’ll be going to the first London Plus Size Fashion Weekend between February 15th - 16th 2013The event has been put together by Evolve Media and Trapped in a Skinny World to celebrate the UK plus size fashion industry, which I'm sure you've all noticed has exploded recently.

I'm really hoping I'll be able to work at the event volunteering but if not I'm hoping to get to the event so I'll be able to meet other fashion bloggers, designers, retailers and lovers of plus size fashion. Moving to London is going to lonely but if I can meet other like minded ladies and network that would be amazing.
This is an industry close to my heart, not only being a plus size woman, but I researched plus size fashion through out my final year studying fashion promotion and will be working/interning within the industry from January 2013.
If I don't end up working the whole event, I will be attending the second day of the Weekend (Saturday) . The line up looks incredible. There's a clothing swap, a master styling class, a panel discussion and finally ending with a fashion show

The clothing swap requires you to bring 3- 5 pieces of clothing that you'd be happy to swap. I assume you swap the amount you brought or something but I'm looking forward to revamp my wardrobe with some new pieces knowing I won't be able to shop as much on the money I have to survive in London.

I'm also excited for the discussion the topics on show on the website include

  • On topics that affect our industry
  • How to become apart of the industry
  • How to contribute to the industry and many more.
I'm looking forward to gaining more knowledge and other peoples insights to all these topics. I really could of done with this in my research through out my final year (great timing ;) ).

The finale is the Fashion show it's self. The designers haven't been announced but the show will be hosted by one of my favourite TV plus size ladies at the moment Gemma Collins.

I really hope I get to go and network with people who could potentially change everything for me. This industry is something I feel passionate about and I can't not only wait for my interns but hopefully the start of something amazing in this industry. I also hope I meet some famous and influential plus size celebs ;).

Are any of you ladies attending? Would be fab like I said to meet people and swap details.

My week

New Vivienne Westwood ring. Had to cheer myself up after a horrible bank meeting which resulted in crying in Saint Davids two toilets for a hour missing out on the bloggers meet. Not long until I move. Watching Elf non stop until Christmas day. Wanting a new Macbook. Lost my favourite ever Katy Perry t shirt. New matching tattoo with my best friend. Cupcake tattoo. The story so far tickets on my 22nd birthday. Going to be a Asos Curve fit model for the day. Packing and getting rid of my clothes and shoes. Found my favourite fabric ever in an old sewing box.

Gemma Collins collection

I secret TOWIE fan the one character I grew to love through out the series was the lovely Gemma. Not only being a plus size lady I loved her attitude and feisty side and generally thought in the real world me and Gemma would get on like a house of fire.

It was music to my ears to hear that Gemma entered the world of fashion and created a plus size fashion range. I usually detest celebrity ranges and collaborations. Being a fashion student I think it's just a normal thing to hate really. Knowing the majority of celebs steal ideas from the creatives and simply have a yes or no input after the initial design stages whilst just slapping their names on it at the end with hope it'll sell. Anyway I won't go on haha.

I was really interested to see how the range would look and honestly with the first few items I was impressed. The only thing that didn't really draw my eye was the initial pricing.  Through out the months though it has become noticeable that some items have been introduced at a more affordable range.

I also love how Gemma her self wears and models the clothing. For me Gemma is an amazing icon for plus size ladies. I love her fashion line, her attitude and think she's truly beautiful.

Here are two dresses and a top I'm hoping to invest in.

'Tis the season to be jolly

So December is FINALLY upon us. I'm really in the Christmas mood this year. I'm not sure whether it's due to not working in retail and finally not having a negative mood the whole month or whether it's because I move this month and it's the last time I'll see my whole family for a few months.

Anyway me and the girls decided to go out so I decided to wear one of my new Asos Curve dresses.

I chose to wear the black mesh dress and I absolutely love it. I'm so glad I ordered it now after my first initial doubts.

It made my figure look amazing and I felt like a million dollars the whole night.

I really can't write about how much I love Asos Curve as a brand. I'm hoping to be able to go to one of their fit days they have planned.

As well as this night out I have plenty of nights and meals planned to say goodbye to my friends. I'm also going to the Cardiff bloggers meet on the 15th December. I'm excited to meet up with some of the girls, the last time was brill.

Are any of you planning on coming to the meet up? Or any nights out planned coming up to Christmas? What will you wear?
