My new adventure

SO I haven't posted in a little while. I was clever enough to schedule posts but not that clever as our internet wasn't accessible until last Tuesday (29.10.13) which meant on my part 12 days without blogging.

I'm now reconnected with the world and have the comfort of internet at home in bed (yay for tv catch up.)

Just a quick catch up. I'm now fully moved and settled in back in London, I've started my job with Anna Scholz which I love and for once everything is calm and happy (hope that hasn't been jinxed.) I'm hoping to expand my blogging to meet and get to know even more wonderful plus sized ladies so I'm going to start taking part in some bloggers challenges and blogging a lot more frequently in the up and coming months.

I have a few outfit and payday purchase posts to follow and I'm really excited to attend Plus London 3 this weekend. I hope to see a lot of faces there and catch up with lots of people.

Just a quick one from me today but just an apology and update to what's been going on

Halloween

I'm not sure about you but Halloween is my favourite time of year. From a young age, Florida was our holiday destination of choice. Visiting roughly October time I can clearly remember how crazy Americans went, trick or treating some of the most amazingly decorated 'haunted' houses. Not one to dress up in fancy dress I tend to buy pieces I can wear over and over again choosing to add some gore and horror through makeup and props. Looking through some websites I've chosen a few alternatives to wear to scare ;)

Love both of these tops. Easy enough to wear over and over again. Think I'd pair these with a black midi or my high waist disco pants.

So you ladies have your outfits planned? Dressing up?

I pretty excited for halloween as it's going to probably be the first night partying with my new housemates. Think we're hitting up club indulge for the halloween bash.

Acrylic makeup storage

I'm not a huge collector or makeup admittedly and I rarely invest in expensive products tending to stick to the cheaper more readily available brands but with the makeup I do own ( excluding all that got stolen from my make up box :( ) I've decided to display in my new bedroom. That way I can probably keep an eye on what I have and be more accessible to use it.

Choosing not to have a desk space I want to utilise the top of my chest of draws and create a bit of a makeup/beauty area so beautify myself.

The following is a selection I found by searching 'acrylic makeup storage' on Ebay. All reasonably priced as soon as I'm all moved in and settled I'm going to be making my orders.

I understand the store MUJI also stock storage like above so I might take a gander in store and price match to see what's easier.

I can't wait to set up home and create and utilise an amazing space. Have any of you ladies got the above? Any advice or links to reasonably priced items?

What I've bought

SO I've been busy since payday (the first I've been able to treat and buy myself stuff with for a long time) buying myself essentials to start my A/W wardrobe. Apart from petrol in the car and being able to wine and dine I've been busy in the shops actually shopping and not walking past the window.

Collection 2000 Gothic Glamour - Revenge

New Purple Bath towel - Purple fever

Primark goodies - Polka dot dress, quilted purple chain detail top, navy midi, midi rings, chunky heel buckle heels, doc martin rip offs

New Look inspire print cami, fingertip rings, M initial midi ring

Asda wonderfit jeans (the greatest invention ever) Wearing the black but bought both black and dark navy

mission burrito date

Replacing make up stolen from my make up box :( Trying the MUA Marshmallow colour. Sunkissed bronzer, natural face powder, rosy pink blush (all boots) midi rings (again) and a purple midi for halloween.

I feel like I've gone a bit off the rails with my spending so I'm trying to reign it in ready for the move. It's so difficult when I want so much at the moment :(

Pinkclove

A brand I recently was introduced to is the amazing Pink Clove.  Affordable and trend led clothing in sizes 16-32, there isn't a item I haven't disliked in the range yet.  On a budget I can see this brand quickly becoming a go to when in need of affordable pieces to update my wardrobe.

These are currently on my wish list to purchase :

Has anyone purchased any of these items? Do you have a wish list like mine?

Always wanting

Forever the shopaholic, if I'm not on social media (or the phone) I'm more than likely internet window shopping for my next purchase. This week has been no exception, although I have had a pretty horrible stressful week, to keep my mind off of it I've been searching for some new items.

Really hoping I resist the urge to not put these on the credit card and wait. It is pretty hard though.

Scarlett and Jo

Another brand I had the pleasure to work with at BPSW was Scarlet and Jo. I was first introduced to this brand by the infamous panel dress the lovely CallieGeorgina and Bethany all wore. Again being sold on Evans , the brand notes that it was 'created to inspire and express both personality and confidence' and that it's 'constructed for the fun and fearless woman.' I love how each item does flatter and fit the female form and here's a few items I'm hoping will be making their way to flatter my body.

The whole collection is sophisticated yet playful and each item features a distinct feature that emphasises and flatters the female body. I really can't wait to rock one of these dresses for a night out with a pair of heels. This brand definitely does what it says on the tin, creating items that ooze confidence, power, sex appeal and fearlessness.

Live unlimited

A brand I was fortunate to work with during British Plus Size Fashion week, have recently released their new collection on evans. I have a love hate relationship with Evans as a brand. I've always made an instant connection believing it's for the older woman, as my mother has always shopped there, but it has updated recently. Bringing new exciting brands to the collection has made me more aware Evans is trying to change and update to fit the newer plus size market.

Here's a few pieces from the new range I can not wait to get my hands on:

If you haven't guessed my favourite colour is purple. Noticeably a lot of the new collection is in this deep rich purple colour, of which I've probably chose all the pieces to sit in my wardrobe. I can already picture how I can wear these items from day to night, instantly transforming my look and being worn in several different ways.

Have you got any favourites in the collection?
