Evans Collection

My marmite feelings towards Evans almost change in a matter of seconds after a visit to their Marble Arch store. My favourite store in the whole of their branches, I visited one sunny Saturday afternoon as I had to pick up new bedding and some new underwear at Primark. By this point I still hadn't tried on the cut for Evans things. All in the sale I grabbed the chance to try the Scuba dress I had my eyes on. I also grabbed a chance to try on the Collection pieces I've been sorting after. Here's what I thoughts:

What isn't to love about this dress? I mean the price is even now incredible. I tried on my normal size a size 20 and just felt I may have needed a bigger size. Unfortunately they didn't have it :(. I went straight online to find the dress had sold out completely and my heart broke. I was still on a spending ban but somehow willingly to break it for this dress. I love the material and colour. The only thing I would change is how short it was on me, but being 5ft 9/10 it's something I constantly battle with.

This jumpsuit was/is/will forever be AMAZING. The floral with the spotted mesh detailing, the style, the cut EVANS I LOVE YOU. I would however probably size up again in this as the fabric felt snug around my middle bit (girl got hips and a ASS haha.) the price tag no matter how steep may have to be forgotten (oif this arrives in Sale may need to be snapped up) This WILL be in my wardrobe in 2014 some point.

Now this dress was something I have wanted since it came out. The floral print, the neon and necklace everything about this dress is so Spring Summer 14. I tried on again my normal size in this dress a size 20 but I think for the shift style and fit I would easily have to size up twice. The joys of having a body that's two size bigger at the bottom. I'm not sure if I loved this as much as the jumpsuit although I would love this to be a piece in my wardrobe, I think the wardrobe would have to be there before this. However saying that the whole 'Collection' collection is so inspiring and I can not thank Evan's enough for trying something new and pushing the boundaries.

Company Loves Pandora

My flatmate was fortunate to win tickets to an event held by Company Magazine at Pandora's store along Oxford Street. I rushed from work to make the event and wasn't disappointed. We queued and when we got in had the chance to browse all the lovely items. Admittedly Pandora hasn't been on my list of wants, although I have eyed up their rings a few times. As much as I love my Nanas charm bracelet from when she was little, I've not been able to get my head around these charm bracelets. However my mind was soon changed at the event. There's loads of different styles from silver to leather bracelets and the charms are way too adorable not to love.

We were guided up stairs where we were greeted to have our nails manicured ( I chose a lovely pastel pink.) We also snacked on bar nibbles and drank a few cocktails (very drunk flatmates after this event.) We were given a trend guide for Spring Summer from the lovely fashion editor Alex, which of course included some Pandora options to style with.

The goodie bags were amazing and included some make up bits and a lovely free charm. At the event they had a tower of draws which you were able to open when making a purchase. I wasn't actually able to make a purchase (:( I still want all the rings and charms) but I did see a few people gain an amazing extra to what they had already purchased.

I was lucky to bump in to (but not so lucky not to get a picture) with the lovely Hollie of Prettybigbutterflies at the event.

*want this birthstone ring so bad (it's May btw ;) )

Carley having her nails done :P

Seriously good cocktails and lovely manicured nails

The tweet competition entry I submitted (didn't win boohoo) Thought my tattoo had found its twin though ;)

Lovely presentation from Alex from Company magazine

SOOOO many charms

My lovely charm gifted in the goodie bags :)

It's safe to say after this event I would love to add some Pandora to my jewellery collection.

#ShopMyWardrobeforLent Week 4 CONFESSION TIME

Week four has ended and I have a serious confession. With all the temptations of  the Sales beaten and the sadness of seeing things that have been in your saved lists, for months on end selling out at near enough half the original price, my brain and heart couldn't take it any longer and I have failed my none shopping quest.

A month of not shopping would have been ALOT easier, if it wasn't for the fact near enough every plus size store I shop at suddenly decided to go in to SALE.

I missed out on my fav cut for Evans pieces early on, I think the devastation of that made me fall in to a spiral of not wanting to miss out on other things.

I like to believe I'm very honest and I just knew I couldn't carry on the challenge without spilling the truth.

I honestly loved this challenge though. I've created outfits and worn things I haven't done in months. I've also been able to pull a few tags off of clothing bought months ago and never worn.

I will definitely look more to my wardrobe for items to start with, than to rush out and buy and buy and buy for sure. I just think with the sudden change in seasons (how lovely in the weather?) my fashion concious mind was in overhaul of buying lots of pretty things ready for Summer.

Here's my favourite outfits of the four weeks.
