City Break Plus Size Style With Curvissa - One Item Three Ways

The one thing in the world I don’t do enough of is travel. No fault of my own, when it comes to searching the globe I epically fail. Whether its lack of company or money I couldn’t say, but my one aim for the next 5 years (up until I’m 30) is to see as much as the world as I can (and to put the card down spending on unnecessary things.) A way of visiting lots of places is booking small weekend city breaks, so you can really stretch your holiday at work and have lots of shorter mini breaks. I have already visited Paris and Dublin this year, with Finland and possibly Toronto to come. We all hate the dreaded extra bag charge so I’m going to show you how to pack your suitcase light and create 3 different outfits using one item.
Now wherever you are heading, I’m guessing you’ll want to choose somewhere with sunshine (something Britain lacks in even in the Summer) and with plenty to do. My dream location is Italy. I love the culture, the food and the atmosphere of Italy. Even though I’ve never been I can just imagine how romantic the place is.

I have however based my looks on a weekend that will involve sightseeing, possibly some time near the sea/beach, shopping if you wish, and a night out where you can eat as much amazing local food and drink. These looks could really be worn in any city you choose this Summer.

I was kindly sent this plus size oversized denim shirt dress from Curvissa  *. The denim is light weight, the style is easy and I’m going to show you the three ways I’d style this using the very basics, but creating stylish and comfortable looks.

The traveling to your destination airport look.

You’ve already saved space in your hand luggage as you’re already wearing the dress for one and as it’s lightweight it’s easy to wear and roomy for the up and coming flight.
I paired this with a pair of ripped denim jeans and rolled up the hem of the dress, tying it in a knot so it’s like an oversized shirt. I styled this look with my Stan Smith trainers that are so so comfy and roomy and a small grey shoulder bag. It has enough room to place your small coin purse, passport and boarding pass. I always avoid packing any liquids (make up etc) in different bags when I only take hand luggage. It saves faffing at security when you can pull out of your suitcase one small wash bag that holds all your liquids. I also avoid wearing any jewelry, belts, block heels etc, anything basically that you need to take off and place in the trays to go through the x-ray machine. This way the security process is quick easy and pain free, and it means you get to the duty free hall a bit quicker, without the pat down if you set off the metal detector.

My City Break Day time look.

So you arrive, get to your hotel and the heat is getting to you a little. Drop those jeans and get them off, untie the shirt and ta daa! Just add some sandals like these amazing wide fit lace up ones from Asos. I’ve added a khaki floppy hat, and this slogan beach bag so I can carry my essentials and also cover from the sun a little. This look will take you to the beach/sea to get some sunshine and a little relaxation, And if you’re really looking to explore the city you are in you could visit some musuems or sight see the local wonders.

So night time comes and you’re off to the coolest little wine bar to drink and dance the night away. I have added a sleeveless waist coat to the look to add some layers that change the look of the dress, but will also keep you warm if it decides to turn a little chilly when the suns away. I can’t walk in high heels, so these small heel peep toe boots are a great alternative for me walking in style They are on trend, comfortable and are chic and smart. I love fringe with denim so I have added this leather fringe clutch bag to complete the look. I always go dramatic for a night time look so added a dark rich lip.
