I was invited along to Ascots champions day by Ladbrokes and Branded 3. An event I’d only ever been able to really dream of attending, I jumped at the opportunity to get my best hat and dress on.

Not only were we treated to tickets to watch the races but we also were invited for a 4 course meal and afternoon tea in the Pavilion. I couldn’t have asked for a better bunch of people to share the occasion with.

A few weeks ago I had the absolute pleasure of being photographed with Velvet D’Amour. Now I’m no model in any sense of the word, but do I like posing? Yes. Do I like a little bit of flattery and attention? As much as the next guy. So when Velvet announced she’d be photographing people in the UK I jumped at the chance. I had missed the last opportunity due to other commitments but there was no way I was missing out this time. My deposit was accepted, my time slot given and I arrived bright and early to not only meet my idol but be photographed by her.

So after last night’s viewing and publicity surrounding plus sized wars on Channel 4 I felt I had to blog and voice my opinion.

Anna Scholz - Net mesh Body- Con Dress

I posted about the Launch of Anna Scholz new collection a few weeks back. If you clicked through to the brochure, you were treated a sneak preview of both White and Black label pieces.

You may have spotted this incredible Net Mesh bodycon dress among the pages. As soon as I saw this I knew I had to have it. It's sexy and covers and reveals in all the right places. I love to show off my figure and this fitted and structured dress is perfect to do that in.

The dress is from Anna's Black Label collection which is described as being:

'inspired by individuality, freedom and self-expression, Black Label offers laidback sophistication fused with a cool urban heartbeat this season. It’s the story of East meets West , romanticism meets street , glorious print meets amazing fabric. Spring / Summer 2015 is the reflection of all the cultural influences we encounter.'

I styled this dress up with a pair of heels, a little bit of colour with a textured bag and lipstick, and a Primark necklace (Similar here). I think this piece is so easy to style. You can either pair with it with lots of bits or keep it simple like I feel I have in this look.

Anna Scholz Sneak Preview Spring Summer 15

Perks of my job, is that season after season I get to see the collections through out their development and production stages. It's so interesting to see the design process happen and I can't help but constantly feel inspired with both my outfit decisions and clothes shopping whilst working here haha. 

Both collections are a breath of fresh air, and I seriously had trouble picking what pieces I wanted. There's a cool urban twist amongst Black label, whilst White label exudes all four corners of the earth. There is even a exclusive tattoo print that was drawn just for Anna.

That Day Fashion

That Day are a new brand sold online and in store at Evans that have hit down and made all the plus size babe hearts flutter. Their stuff is just so lovely, with a touch of vintage and glamour. 

 They held a competition a few weeks back on their instagram and I was fortunate to win. I got to choose an item from the current collection and the item I had to pick up was their mustard dress. The colour, fit and style are perfect. With a thick pair of tights, some cute ankle boots, it's perfect for winter. The sleeve detail is so lovely to, almost like a tulip shape it covers whilst still revealing some arm. I did size up with this and am glad I did. I think I'd say that's the only issue, but once on it fits like a dream.

As soon as I got it I fell in love. I'm planning to wear it for Christmas day as it's bang on trend but will hide my swollen Christmas dinner filled tummy.

Curvy Kate: The Daily boost & Strapless Luxe Bras

So you may have read in my previous post about my time at the Curvy Kate event. I was gifted the daily boost bra at the event (also had a fitting too) and as soon as I put it on I felt like I had new boobs (that I couldn't stop touching all night btw ;).) They instantly lifted and afterwards I had comments not only on how pert my boobs were but also how it'd looked like I had lost weight (my waist is small so this bra just helped define it more.) I also had the chance to purchase the new Strapless Luxe bra and some smoothie high rise knickers. All sorted on the lingerie front and so impressed with the fit and look of all the bits, I just had to strip down and blog, to spread the curvy kate word. 

First of all: The Daily Boost (paired with Smoothie high rise knickers.)

Second of all: The Strapless Luxe Bra 

Excuse the grumpy looking face, I'm sure I was going for dominatrix/sex face ha!?

My boobs are supported and still pert. I've struggled for years for a strapless bra for a big cup, that'll actually support and this is doing the job. I even jumped up and down and they stayed in the cup and supported.

A little hard to see, but the button detailing in the middle of the cups is uber cute.

Thick back band. It's so secure and comfy.

The band is tight and I had to pull it around BUT when on it doesn't feel restricting. I can breath, dance, bend up and down. Let's say I can complete the essential tasks haha. This is definitely the right size for me, I just think as it's strapless the band needs to give support, so it has to have a tighter elastic in than usual so don't be put off if you try this!

What I wore - A day in London

My mum was down last week visiting just before Christmas. She was fortunate to be part of the team of volunteers who picked the poppies out the grounds of the Tower of London. We visited the Tower, Borough Market and walked along the Thames and Southbank for a lovely day, which finally made me feel a little Christmassy. I decided to wear my new duster jacket from New Look (50% off currently) and dressed it up with a necklace gifted at the Littlewoods SS15 event.

I have been move than lucky and very fortunate and thankful to have been invited to so many press days lately. Simply Be was no exception. I have been a fan of the brand for years. My mum used to purchase clothes for me from there until I got my own job and could get that pesky credit account hahahaha (dangerous!) 

I was invited along by Lee Publicity and Simply Be to preview their Spring Summer 15 collection and as always, it didn't disappoint (well okay I did walk away upset that I have to wait till next year to get hold of all the clothes.) 

In the Penthouse Suite of the Sanderson  we were shown a range of collections and swimwear pieces that will blow you away. My list is as long as my arm for the up coming season.
