Yours Clothing Floral Print Trousers

SO I first saw these trousers on the amazing Hollie and I knew they had to be mine. I was fortunate to win a competition for a £30 yours clothing voucher from the lovely lollylikesfatsion, and as soon as it came I purchased this pair of floral trousers and another pair of trousers I've decided to wear as my travel clothes on my way to my holiday(post coming soon.)

#wearethethey - my body my rules

Here's a message to those who try to tell us what 'they shouldn't be wearing'.

Here's how I break the fashion rules.

Plus sized wars

So after last night’s viewing and publicity surrounding plus sized wars on Channel 4 I felt I had to blog and voice my opinion.

ASOS Curve - The Little (but sexier) Black Dress

When I saw this dress and at the price it is at I put it straight in my basket and bought it without a second thought. This is what my wardrobe is all about atm. Finding those pieces that can be dressed up, that are muted in colour and simple but edgy in style...

Elvi - The skirt of dreams

I was lucky to be gifted this incredible Maxi skirt from the brand Elvi. If you’ve never heard of the plus size brand then you should check them out. They produce high quality on trend fashion in sizes UK 14-26.

Trending in the Plus Size Community

trend
trɛnd/
verb
  1. change or develop in a general direction.

    synonyms:movegotendheaddriftgravitateswingshiftturninclineleanveer
"interest rates are trending up in Japan"

  2. "Trending" is a mutilation of the English language that means "currently popular."

So correct me if I'm wrong but pretty much all of us would love to be trending. Whether it's an instagram picture that goes viral/appears or trends, our websites/blogs trending on tumblr/Bloglovin etc or even a hashtag we've created hitting the trends section at the left hand side of your homepage. We'd all love that recognition that comes with being noticed and having our pageviews/followers fly through the roof.

I for one have never ever really hit the top, but I have had the pleasure of taking part in hashtag movements such as #youarefab and have been fortunate to be interviewed for a major UK publication all due to my blog. Of course with those highs comes lows though. Everyone in the blogsphere has probably experienced both these emotions (some more than others maybe,) but I think it's so easy to get caught up in what others are achieving than it is to look at what you are.
Recently I've seen some upset amongst people. I understand the frustrations I do, because I probably experience those exact feelings sometimes, but it's what we do with that emotion that counts.
I'm so proud of the direction the Plus industry is going in. Brands are much more aware of our presence and are working hard (some more than others) to accommodate us all. Although Twitter/Blogs are there to vent and rant, I do feel that maybe we all should take a look at how far we've come not only individually, but as a group. Don't let those frustrations get the better of you. I for one just think of how far I've come, what I've achieved and also the reason for me blogging. I'm not gifted left right and center and that's okay, I'm hardly noticed by a lot of brands if I'm honest, but when I receive comments & emails stating how I've changed one persons view on their selves and how they dress, I feel like my influence is there and is done.

Anway, enough of the deep stuff. When I spotted this t-shirt, the shape was what stood out, but also how the print was set up like a dictionary definition. The topic of Trending just stood out and I found it ironic and fitting to how I was feeling whilst shopping. I just thought it'd make for a fun tongue in cheek outfit.

Who knows maybe this post/outfit will trend? but like I said, if this look/post can just take some unnecessary pressure off and it's here just for your enjoyment, I'm happy

RND15

Tk maxx team up with Red Nose Day and a Fashion designer/designers every year to create the official charity t shirts. In the past the likes of Vivienne Westwood to Stella McCartney have all contributed designs to be sold to raise money. This year 5 designers ( Karl Lagerfeld, Diane Von Furstenberg, Anya Hindmarch, Henry Holland and Matthew Williamson) have all contributed an idea to a t shirt. Some have used famous quotes, others have designed prints that are unique but signature to their brands.  I purchased two over the weekend and I love them.

I went for the Henry holland polka dot t shirt and the Anya hindmarch quote t shirt. You may or may not know but i am a HUGE girls fan, so when I saw this quote on the Henry Holland T shirt, I knew it HAD to be mine. I also am fond of a Oscar Wilde quote and Anya Hindmarch's t was completely spot on for me.

Unfortunately I didn't get a picture in my Anya Hindmarch T (purchased in a XXL so it's incredibly baggy), but I'm wearing a XL in the Henry Holland tee below.

Anna Scholz - Net mesh Body- Con Dress

I posted about the Launch of Anna Scholz new collection a few weeks back. If you clicked through to the brochure, you were treated a sneak preview of both White and Black label pieces.

You may have spotted this incredible Net Mesh bodycon dress among the pages. As soon as I saw this I knew I had to have it. It's sexy and covers and reveals in all the right places. I love to show off my figure and this fitted and structured dress is perfect to do that in.

The dress is from Anna's Black Label collection which is described as being:

'inspired by individuality, freedom and self-expression, Black Label offers laidback sophistication fused with a cool urban heartbeat this season. It’s the story of East meets West , romanticism meets street , glorious print meets amazing fabric. Spring / Summer 2015 is the reflection of all the cultural influences we encounter.'

I styled this dress up with a pair of heels, a little bit of colour with a textured bag and lipstick, and a Primark necklace (Similar here). I think this piece is so easy to style. You can either pair with it with lots of bits or keep it simple like I feel I have in this look.

Asos Curve Splurge - You either love or hate

So I've recently gone a splurge, buying pieces to update my wardrobe that are stylish, simple and I can build many outfits from. I found my wardrobe was beginning to become a bit too mis matched and I struggled to build more than one or two looks out of the pieces I had.

I've always wanted a turtle neck top, but Primark didn't deliver when I was looking for a plain black jersey one, (I'm a sucker for buying my basics from there.) So when Asos Curve had one in and an extra 20% off I had to get it (came to £11 in total I think.) For a piece I know I'll wear over and over again I think I'll get my wear out of this. I'm hoping this jersey lasts and doesn't get bobbly and thin over time (the only negative of buying £5 tops from Primark.)

These trousers are a little bit like marmite. I think you either love or hate. They are the typical jersey peg leg trouser Asos Curve produces, but I love them so much. I purchased a polka dot and floral pair about two years ago and lived in them for months. I think the fit and the print is so so good and the comfort level is through the roof. The plus with this fabric seems to be that they don't seem to bag as much as previous pairs I have bought. The grid print is so in right now too which is a bonus.

I kept this look very monochrome, adding my favourite MAC lipstick (REBEL) for some colour. I can't describe how stylish I felt, and how many compliments I received from my hairdresser that morning and the girls.

Simply Be Tropical Co-ord - Mic(x) and Match ;)

You may remember I was invited along to Simply Be SS15 preview last year (see post here #SimplyBess15) . I picked this co-ord up straight away and knew it was a must have.

When the new season catalogue hit down I raced ahead and purchased both the trousers and top. The tropical print is just so nice. It makes me want Summer to arrive even more so. You can easily dress this look up or down and mix and match basics with it. I think each piece is such a key item and I cannot wait to mix and match my looks this season.

I put them both together to create an almost jumpsuit kind of look for this post.I dressed this look up with some lace up heels (similar here & here), a duster jacket and a textured bag (similar here.) I fell in love with this look instantly. I’m now looking at purchasing the tunic dress too, just because I love how colourful this print is .

The only downside is the fabric. There is little to no stretch in this fabric. I sized up in both items and feel like I could have sized up one more size in the trousers to allow for spread when I sit down. Either way I cannot wait to wear this outfit over and over again.

Hollie took my pictures whilst I spent a girls weekend with her and the rest of the girlies, and looked amazing in the Scuba stripe dress below (Her review is here.) This is my next must have along with the tropical print dress.

Missguided + Wish List

So you could say I'm very much inspired by the likes of Kim K, Khloe K or Bey with this want list. I'm starting to notice the change in my choices of clothing recently. I'm very much going a bit hip and minimal haha.

Again these looks are pretty simple, apart from the hint of check and camo. I love how I  can build these looks together by adding some basics to them to create multiple outfits.

The statement clutches are pretty much my favourite lil sayings atm (I just need 'I woke up like this' on a bag and we're complete.)

Payday can not get here quick enough. Missguided is being hard;).
