#DigiDating with Asos

So I was invited along by the Access All Asos team to be part of the audience for a brand new youtube dating show. The show #Digidating is a mix between Cilla Blacks TV dating show 'Blind Date’ and real life tinder (just without the right or left swipe.) Being an Asos Insider I took the chance to check out behind the scenes.

#AccessAllAsos - I love Asos Curve And Stripes

A weekend away for Curve Fest with the girls, meant photo shoot time of course. We took to the streets of Manchester and I just so happened to wear my new Asos Curve two piece co-ord.

I fell in love as soon as I saw Felicity wearing it a few months back. So once it was online I knew it'd be mine.

Girl Gang Goals Asos Curve

When I got the email through with the information of being part of a Asos Curve girl gang (#girlganggoals) I was far too excited. With the 70's theme well in it's second trend season, and being in a gang with two of my bestest friends Hollie and Katie , I couldn't wait to get started.

ASOS Curve Fit Day - My Time at Asos Head quarters

I was so fortunate to be invited along to ASOS HQ for a Curve fit day the other week.
The brand as I'm sure you know is a all time favourite of mine. I hardly ever find problems with the clothing and I love how I can shop with so much ease (thanks to premier.)

Asos Curve Daisy Print Trousers - Plus Size Style

British Summer time is here (yes I know you probably can't tell by the way the weather has been acting,) but last Saturday despite the rain I put on this adorable outfit and headed to Portobello Road, for brunch and to catch up with friends.

Alice And You - How I Dress the 70's Trend

A few weeks ago I met up with some uber blogger babes in London. We’d previously met up at Westfield months before and unfortunately had a bad run in staff at TGI Fridays. After a complaint and some serious action from the area manager we received vouchers to make up for the rudeness we’d experienced.

ASOS Curve - The Little (but sexier) Black Dress

When I saw this dress and at the price it is at I put it straight in my basket and bought it without a second thought. This is what my wardrobe is all about atm. Finding those pieces that can be dressed up, that are muted in colour and simple but edgy in style...

nothing to wear

“When a woman says, ‘I have nothing to wear!’, what she really means is, ‘There’s nothing here for who I’m supposed to be today.”
― Caitlin Moran, How to Be a Woman

Black is the new Black - Khloe Kardashain inspo

Black will always be a go to colour for me as a foundation to an outfit, but I very rarely wear head to toe black. I leave this in the trusty hands of my best friend Octavia. With my new sophisticated style I decided to fully dress in black. I teamed this sleeveless turtle neck crop top with a maxi skirt with slits at either side. I also took some inspiration from Khloe Kardashian. She is most definitely my favorite sister. Honestly if we knew it each other I think we'd be best friends (in your dreams Mic.)

To say I felt fierce is an understatement. I love how clothes can make you feel and give you strength and confidence. I love the side slits up the skirt. they are so seductive, I can just show off a little leg by posing, but then hide them away :p.  I feel like calling this outfit sophisticated goth? (without offending anyone.)

I just can't wait to rock this outfit on my next big night out, maybe with a brighter lip and chunky bracelets?

#HeresWhatIWouldHaveSpent Asos

I love Asos Curve and It's definitely not a secret to anyone. Premier is a god send as it gives me the convenience to receive things next day so I never have to wait too long to wear my bits.

As much as the curve range is pretty good atm. There are a few bits in the main range I'd love to get my hands on. I chose 7 lucky looks (let's hope the luck rubs off and we see things like this in the Curve range soon) for Debz challenge #HeresWhatIWouldHaveSpent

Gothic glam. Thumbs up from me

2. Barbie Print Crop jumper

Moschino, eat ya heart out. I'm a barbie girl in a barbie world.

3. Print Pencil Dress

5. Geo Print Maxi Dress

This would be perfect for my holiday

6. Acid Flower Print Shift Dress

LOVE LOVE LOVE this print. I'm not sure the shift shape would suit but I want this print in something.

7. Palm Print Fringed Bomber Jacket

These other babes have completed the challenge too. Look at what they would have spent through these links:

Kinky Khaki - Kim K outfit inspo

So recently I am all over the Kardashians/Jenners looks. Minimal, colour blocked and so easy to wear, I really think these sisters are setting the mark high. I was inspired by Kim specifically with this look. Some may say she’s getting it so wrong in the style stakes, and if I’m honest I’d never let a man dictate what I could or couldn't wear. But I think it’s clear to say Kim has connections in high places only some of us could dream of having, and I for one am extremely jealous of that alone.

You may have noticed I love my clothes tight and structured most of the time, so I can show off my shape (yes even the wobbly bits some try to hide.) I’m not one to hide anything away really, but I usually try to dress in bright colours and prints thinking this will get me noticed. I loveee how this look is just colour blocked in muted tones, but still gives me the same desired effect. Girls, my top tip is don't be afraid to wear a turtle neck, get ya arms and legs out and wear a tight midi skirt. The world honestly isn't going to end. Flaunt those curves and your amazing bodies :).

I’m definitely at a place with my style that I feel like I’m maturing. I feel like I’m shying away from my usual’s and experimenting a bit more with style, fit and quality. I think I’m finding that less is actually more in that sense.

Anyway I felt inspired and pretty darn sexy with this outfit, and I don’t even care that my VBL is showing :p.

Anna Scholz - Net mesh Body- Con Dress

I posted about the Launch of Anna Scholz new collection a few weeks back. If you clicked through to the brochure, you were treated a sneak preview of both White and Black label pieces.

You may have spotted this incredible Net Mesh bodycon dress among the pages. As soon as I saw this I knew I had to have it. It's sexy and covers and reveals in all the right places. I love to show off my figure and this fitted and structured dress is perfect to do that in.

The dress is from Anna's Black Label collection which is described as being:

'inspired by individuality, freedom and self-expression, Black Label offers laidback sophistication fused with a cool urban heartbeat this season. It’s the story of East meets West , romanticism meets street , glorious print meets amazing fabric. Spring / Summer 2015 is the reflection of all the cultural influences we encounter.'

I styled this dress up with a pair of heels, a little bit of colour with a textured bag and lipstick, and a Primark necklace (Similar here). I think this piece is so easy to style. You can either pair with it with lots of bits or keep it simple like I feel I have in this look.

Asos Curve Splurge - You either love or hate

So I've recently gone a splurge, buying pieces to update my wardrobe that are stylish, simple and I can build many outfits from. I found my wardrobe was beginning to become a bit too mis matched and I struggled to build more than one or two looks out of the pieces I had.

I've always wanted a turtle neck top, but Primark didn't deliver when I was looking for a plain black jersey one, (I'm a sucker for buying my basics from there.) So when Asos Curve had one in and an extra 20% off I had to get it (came to £11 in total I think.) For a piece I know I'll wear over and over again I think I'll get my wear out of this. I'm hoping this jersey lasts and doesn't get bobbly and thin over time (the only negative of buying £5 tops from Primark.)

These trousers are a little bit like marmite. I think you either love or hate. They are the typical jersey peg leg trouser Asos Curve produces, but I love them so much. I purchased a polka dot and floral pair about two years ago and lived in them for months. I think the fit and the print is so so good and the comfort level is through the roof. The plus with this fabric seems to be that they don't seem to bag as much as previous pairs I have bought. The grid print is so in right now too which is a bonus.

I kept this look very monochrome, adding my favourite MAC lipstick (REBEL) for some colour. I can't describe how stylish I felt, and how many compliments I received from my hairdresser that morning and the girls.

Street style bargains

My mentality with clothes recently has changed. I've found myself holding back from buying huge amounts of clothes monthly as soon as payday hits, and purchasing more for things actually needed than wanted.

With the Sales over Christmas happening, I decided to not purchase clothes for both the Oct and Nov paydays, instead I chose to have a spending spree at the Sales.

I picked up so many bargains from Asos, Evans, Yours and Net-a-porter. Even though I was looking to spend a lot, I still felt that I held back in the Sales.

I think for 2015 I need to make my wardrobe smaller and tidier. Right now it feels dis organised and cluttered :(.

Anyway I styled together this look. I think it'd a bit street style, especially with my uber bargain Nikes from Net-a-porter.

I picked up this top from Evans collection Cut for Evans and the jeans are Asos Curve Ridley.

Did any of you grab Sale Bargains?

I can't wait to show off my Yours clothing finds.

What I wore - A day in London

My mum was down last week visiting just before Christmas. She was fortunate to be part of the team of volunteers who picked the poppies out the grounds of the Tower of London. We visited the Tower, Borough Market and walked along the Thames and Southbank for a lovely day, which finally made me feel a little Christmassy. I decided to wear my new duster jacket from New Look (50% off currently) and dressed it up with a necklace gifted at the Littlewoods SS15 event.

Here's what I wore:

New years - Outfit plans

So New Years eve (and Christmas) are approaching pretty fast, and with the Postal deadlines coming up (never mind the last minute present buying I've forgotten to do all year,) I have already started outfit planning.  I obviously have to ensure I have 'the' outfit that'll blow people away, where ever I should be heading for the night.

I have chosen a few pieces from plus size brand Roaman's and styled with shoes and accessories from Asos and New Look Wide fit to create the perfect New years Eve outfit to make sure I end 2014 with a Bang.

UK Plus Size Awards

I was so lucky to attend the UK Plus Size Awards over the weekend. A very last minute outing (thanks to Debz competition) I managed to see all my girls and industry professionals whom I admire and also work amongst. As the night was a last minute surprise, I had no way to buy anything. I'm pretty fortunate to own some Anna Scholz pieces so my first and only option really was to dress up in this silk number. I always feel amazing in Anna's clothes. You can just tell there's thought and love put in to each design, which instantly makes you feel amazing and confident when you put anything on.

At Plus North this year I was fortunate to meet some uber babes who I have become (life long I hope) friends with. These ladies are Hollie, Lucy and (my sister from another mister) Katie (we're the middle foursome below.) All three ladies were nominated for best newcomer blog and I couldn't be prouder of all of them. Hollie scooped the award and I'm soo happy for her.

He actually ended up sitting on our table and was the most genuine person. Sooo funny and great performer.

Soooooo I have some news. Me and Matt are engaged. He realised after I fan girled for him I was the one (and realising he's originally from over the mountain my village is stuck on the side of back in South Wales.) None of the last sentence is in fact true though (apart from he is actually from over the mountain in Caerphilly and the fan girling moment - HIGHLY EMBARRASSING) HOW BEAUTIFUL IS HE THOUGH? UGH
