Believe it or not I didn’t really sale shop this
Christmas. I’m not sure if it’s the older I get the less and less I consider
what else I can spend my money on. Or the simple fact my room is over spilling
with FAR too many clothes and shoes that just aren’t being worn (sale coming
soon ladies.) Regardless I didn’t have any occasions coming up that justified
being for, and I have outfits planned in my head with what I have soo I was
very careful not to go crazy and get deterred in the Christmas Sales.
I did spot this bargain though and knew it’d be perfect
not only for the New year but for work and my first up and coming adventure
away. I first spotted a similar style (same print) on a few bloggers that had a
cut out in the middle. This is the same style just without that cut out. It has
a v neckline that is edged with lace that meets in the middle and carries
through to the waist. A Skater style dressit fits at top and falls down over the
bottom half slightly flaring. The sleeves are amazing. Flared sleeves are very
in right now (especially with knitwear pieces) but these sleeves are so stylish
and really add to the boho look.
I teamed this dress with tights and believe it or not it
was a decent length. I do struggle with length sizing with a lot of brands, especially
when it comes to the smaller independent brands such as Alice And You. This
dress however didn’t feel too short on my 5ft 9” height.
The sizing too was forgiving and I chose my normal size
and had no issue. It fitted comfortably and sat well.
I can’t wait to wear more of this dress. I’d love to try
and team with a dark jean to see how they pair. As well as bare legged when the
weather temp shifts.
Love

Love this! The detail on the bust is my favourite (yeah yeah I'm a perv). Definitely a dress that can be worn in all seasons.
