New Asos Curve goodies

So you may have noticed I currently have an addiction with Asos Curve. Last week I picked up the following four items.

New Look Inspire Boyfriend Jeans - SOLD OUT

I'll start off by quickly writing about the Jeans. New Look Inspire  (even though I have worked for New Look for 3 years in the past and am now on a placement with the team) has always been a tricky plus size range for me. It doesn't tend to always be consistent with what it produces and I have always had problems with it's sizing. The jeans were tight and uncomfortable in the size I buy all my trousers in. This reaction has come from a couple of people I know who have purchased these too. I did send back to exchange to see if sizing up helped but unfortunately they are now sold out.

Now on to what I kept.

Both the peg leg trousers were something I wasn't expecting, and I did feel a little cheated when I opened them. A thin jersey, the trousers have no structure and to be perfectly honest look ten times better online than in real life. They are on the other hand the most comfiest things ever and all week I have been wearing them.

The floral trousers I teamed with a black peplum top. This made the outfit less casual and suitable for works dress code.

The polka dot trousers I recently teamed up with a grey printed top. This kept the outfit casual but not too casual so I felt it looked like I was walking about in pj bottoms.

I will report on the cold shoulder top but I haven't wore it yet due to the horrendously cold weather.

On to a quick update whilst catching up on Beyonce's Life is but a dream documentary. My friend sent through the news she's playing a festival at Twickenham Stadium in June. The festival is a charitable concert created by fashion designers Gucci, who will try to directly help disadvantaged women, using the proceeds from The Sound of Change Tickets sales.

I can't express how excited I am by the line up, which obviously includes the Queen that is BEYONCE. SO I can not wait.

It also includes:

Ellie Goulding
Florence and The Machine
Haim
Iggy Azalea
John Legend
Laura Pausini
Rita Ora
Timbaland

Anna Scholz Digital Jersey Ruched Dress - Chameleon

During my placement with Anna Scholz, I’ve been extremely fortunate to not only build an amazing relationship with Anna and her team but I’ve been encouraged and motivated to succeed even more than I could ever imagine.
My full time position at the studio is now sadly over but I’m going back Fridays during the month of April to help out.
I was fortunate to wear a Spring Summer 13 item, donated by Anna, to Plus Size Fashion weekend.

The dress has recently been placed on her online store to purchase.

The fabric, a digital jersey has been printed using a process which allows for the smallest and intricate details to be printed with an amazing array of different colouring. This print stood out immediately to me. The colours are eye catching and the snake like print overlay sets it all off to create a psychedelic like backdrop that wraps around the body. I can honestly say I felt a million dollars in this dress.

The shaping also sets the dress of. Wrapping and ruching around the key points I personally want to hide, only accentuates the best parts of my body. Nipping the waist in the right place, drapping over the chest showing just enough cleavage, and the length being just short enough to show a bit of leg. It doesn't cling to the body but flows creating (and accentuating) a curvy silhouette

Me and the Jessica Kane

Me and Velvet ;)

This dress is all over amazing fabric and shape. I can't praise it highly enough and I can't thank Anna enough for allowing me the chance to wear it.

Crystal Maze

I instantly fell in love with this print as soon as I saw it. I have tended to stay away from prints on my lower half but have slowly started to welcome them now my confidence is growing, and I'm loving my body shape.

I purchased this skirt as soon as it came in stock. I wore it out on a night out with a friend for LFW.
I received nothing but positive comments from complete strangers which helped my confidence grow even more.

There are a few more items I'd love to welcome but this was one item I couldn't risk not having.

You can purchase it online right now.

Simply Be

Looking back I've realised how bad my spending habits look. I have on the other hand saved money aside for things and when Simply Be offered 10% off everything with free delivery I just knew my wish list I had had to be bought.

I had also added the Gok Wan strapless multiway body shaper to my wish list but couldn't justify money on my lingerie when I didn't need it. I just know I'll be purchasing this at a later stage though.

I did how ever purchase this skirt and pair of trousers.

The skirt is delayed due to stock but the trousers arrived today and I couldn't wait to dress them up.

The style isn't what I imagined but that's due to my mistake. The fit on the other hand is amazing.
They don't cling or stretch in the wrong places. They sit really comfortably and for a pair of trousers I don't feel restricted or conscious.

I will say I was undecided at first but this is due to not wearing trousers especially patterned ones, reaching for a pair of leggings or a skirt anyday.

I think I'm going to fall in love quickly with these and I'm sure they'll be a staple piece in my wardrobe.

The only dilemma I have is having NO shoes to go with the style.

This weekend I wanted to treat myself to a nice smart pair of shoes

I've found these two styles which I think I'm going to try and see which suits

I really like the gold block type heel, something I've been looking for for a while. I love peep toe styles but not sure if it's too early to be thinking of baring my toes to the cold elements. I do like the gold toe cap on the first pair however, again another feature I've been looking for on shoes.

I may even end up with both but I think I'm definitely going to have a look and possibly try to shop about.

Skin Dilemas

So I have kept no secret I have terrible skin. After FINALLY being refered to a dermatologist by my doctor many years ago I was put on the strongest acne treatment roacutane. It's recently been in the news for it's terrible side effects, which many I lucky didn't experience. I thought it was the answer to my preys but years after I have been left with disgusting scars and recurring acne .

I've learnt my skins pattern in the terms of blemishes and have found treatments that keep them at bay as much as I can. I believe it's a hormonal thing as my skins flares up certain times of the month. The thing that I can't deal with is the look of my skin.

It's taken ALOT for me to build the courage up to post this but I'm really at my wits end trying to find products to help.

I've tried microdermabrasion like my doctor suggested and although it helped I just want blemish free skin, without piling make up on to cover it.

I can't afford laser and the doctors/NHS as per usual do not want to help.

If ANYONE has any advice or treatments or products they use PLEASE can you suggest below.

Thanks guys

Asos treats

SO as per usual my Asos delivery made a speedy entrance in to my life this week (love love love Asos delivery, free and quick.)

I couldn't wait to get through the door from work on Friday to try them both on.

Dress No.1

I wanted this dress for a little while. The whole cut out shoulder thing attracted me to it at first. I waited tho and debated due to recently purchasing near enough every black body con style dress from the collection. When I finally got around to wanting to purchase I had found it sold out. Must to my relief they brought it back and I had no problems purchasing this as a payday treat.

It's so versatile and I know I can style it as a dress and also as a top.

Dress No.2

So this dress was brand new in. I had previously wanted a similar style in the collection but the price tag put me off completely. I know it went down in price in the sale but I just couldn't purchase. When I saw this (practically the same dress) at £18 I knew I had to purchase to try the style out.

Again I think I can style this outfit in many different ways. I'm still debating on it but I think for the dress it's a cool alternative to a t shirt to wear with leggings or a dress I can dress up with heels for a casual night out on the town.
