La Roche Posay - Effaclar BB Blur

My Review Of La Roche Posay - BB Blur Mouse Cream

I'll be honest, I am completely guilty of of using the La Roche-Posay Effaclar BB Blur * months before it's release date, and I really have been itching to share how amazing this product is. I always tend to go towards a thick and heavy coverage due to my scarring on the skin. It's the one thing I really wish I could change and alter on my entire body. But this foundation really has changed my views on foundations and my own skin.

La Roche-Posay's Effaclar BB Blur aim is to blur the appearance of pores, blemishes and fine lines. Now I thought this was only capable with a heavy foundation (for example I am also a huge fan of Estee Lauder double wear maximum) but this product has completely changed that.

Like with a lot of La Roche-Posay's products I use (previous post here), this product, BB Blur is specially curated for oily skin. It aims to provide skin with coverage all day long, matting the skin and keeping shine and oil at bay. It keeps oil at bay with the help of something called Aircilium, which is an ingredient used by NASA. Aircilium forms a film over the skin, which is supple and resistant, whilst still letting the skin breath. Aircilium is also able to absorb three times its weight in oil, keeping your skin looking matte. A huge plus for me as I not only have scared skin but it is oily too.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this product but it is extremely lightweight with a mousse like texture. It really blends effortlessly into the skin. I just use my fingers to place on the skin and buff around my face with a stippling brush. It offers an impressive medium coverage and the formula really blurs all of my imperfections. Whether you struggle with blemishes, dark circles or an uneven skin tone, I promise this BB cream leaves your skin that looking incredible.I love that I can get a smooth even tone and texture without having to layer thick and heavy make up on my skin. I especially love this for a day time look for work. It allows my skin to breath and I feel comfortable and confident. I am told by others that they use this a base too. I prefer to just use it on it's own and add a bit of concealer and powder on top, but I can certainly see it being a great base to smooth out the skin.

La Roche-Posay BB Blur comes in two shades, fair/light (that I use) or light/medium, but it does contain shade adapting pigments that work to colour match the skin, so match to the nearest tone you think you may be (and don't be alarmed as the fair/light does look on the dark side before being applied.)

You can pick up La Roche-Posay BB Blur from my favourite shop Escentual for £14.00

  1. That matches your skin so well! I'm terrible for skin makeup and probably need to get better at it...
