Benefit makeup rockateur launch

I was fortunate to be invited to an exclusive launch for the new rockateur blush, by the wonderful benefit makeup team at boots Queens Street Cardiff. 

Held at Tiger Tiger we were treated to nibbles and cocktails whilst the perfect rock star look was perfected in front of our eyes. 

I was introduced to some products I've been looking to test including Fake up and the they're real! mascara. These are definitely on my next payday wishlist along with the rockateur blush. 

I love the gold shimmer this blush gives. I'm terrible for applying bronzer with a bit of blush over the top but this product seems to satisfy me colour wise and pigment wise to hold up that job. The box and design as always is amazing, one feature I simply adore about benefit. 

I can't wait to pay the ladies a visit on payday and invest in these products. 

My favourite had to be the shadow named, 'Kiss me, I'm tipsy'

New Lipsticks - A bit too sheer for me the ladies at benefit mentioned they're all based and named around iconic buildings/structures. This one was based around the Golden Gate Bridge. I can't remember the exact colour but checking online some colours do come with a more full coverage than this sample. 

My phone didn't take a good quality image of the item in question 'Rockateur' but here is the new product, with it's amazing packing. The brush was also surprisingly easy to use and picked up the product lovely so it spread evenly when applied.

Treated to little samples in the goodie bag. The porefessional came in handy until my payday purchase.

New Look A/W13

New Look Inspire has always been a go to brand for me. Affordable and trend led clothing, I've always been able to trust the selection on offer to ensure I got a outfit to dazzle in (as well as having my old 50% discount to make it even more affordable RIP :'(. ) I was fortunate to spend 3 months interning with the team this April.  I got given an insight into how the range is created and bought. I had a peak at the new A/W collection and was blown away by the items on offer. I'm normally a lover of summer, skirts with bare legs, boob tubes and shorts, the idea of Winter and wrapping up never excites me but this seasons range has completely changed my mind. I can't wait to get my hands on the winter knits and coats.


Not wanting to reveal too much (trust me girls it's worth the wait) New Look have placed a A/W13 preview up online. Leather details, polka hearts and grunge prints just a few details to be found in the range.

Anna Scholz - White Label 13

As I'm sure you may know I was fortunate to intern at Anna Scholz from January to March this year. The experience was to put it lightly amazing. I truly believe I made friends and contacts for life and still am thankful for the opportunity given to me . Even though a small team, I was welcomed in and gained such valuable experience from my short time there. 

When I arrived the A/W collection was in full swing. I was fortunate to help with product shots and was able to have a sneak peak at photoshoot ideas. I got to work with and preview the collection, choosing my favourite pieces that will definitely be making their way to my wardrobe this Winter. 

White Label A/W 13 has recently been previewed with some pieces modeled by the amazing Leila King added to the online store. My favourite prints and items are below.

The bottom geometric prints are amazing. The prints play with your eyes and create an almost optical illusion, especially the dotted print. The mirrored snake print looks like a take on the emerald, mustard and purple snake print seen in A/W12, but the orange and purple tones take it in a whole different direction, creating a sensual warm print.

If you think these items are beautiful just wait until both collections, White label and Black label are released. I truly believe Anna has excelled herself with every collection recently (including the Anna Scholz for Simply Be collections) and I can not wait to get my eyes on next years S/S 14 and my hands on the up and coming A/W.
