Embroidered patch details are in the in thing right now. On denim, mesh, accessories. There is no stopping this trend. When I saw these jeans on New Look I was amazed and had to get them.
I'm fond of an all black outfit now and again but any chance to add some colour I'm there.
So this look was put together by things I a. had never worn and b. things I forgotten I owned. I had a terrible spending habit and I own far too many clothes. I'm actually looking to sell lots of bits as I have just recently booked an american adventure so keep your eyes peeled in the new year girlies.
Anyway more on the outfit. I popped down the Stylist live (thanks for the free tickets guys) for a day of shopping, lots of gin drinking and cheese tasting (fav stands obviously) and of course a little photo shoot. With my lovely friend Octavia we did a mini shoot outside.
I love the rose detailing and how it pops against the black. I'm also a huge fan of this lace up neckline. It really isn't going away any time soon.
My main suggestion with this trend is have fun. Let the detailing pop and don't add too much to it :).
The easiest way to slip in to the trend is to buy pre sewn items like the jeans, but if you're sewing skills are up to scratch I'd seriously consider sewing patches on to items. I'm hoping in the new year to start my patch collection again to sew on to a denim jacket.
