Festival Fashion With Simply Be - Look 1 Flow Festival 2016

SO this post is one of three festival clothing looks I have prepared. Now we're nearing the end of Festivals (Reading and Leeds are currently on and Bestival is September) but I'm going to show you how to buy items that'll see you through any occasion too. I love festivals. It's a chance to hang out with friends, see your favourite band live, dance to your hearts content, dress up and just have a really good time. Come rain or shine (always pray for Sun) there is just something about the festival atmosphere that just sets it apart.



I went to my first ever international festival this year in Finland called Flow Festival 2016. Not a camping festival (we stayed in the most amazing Air B'N'B) the aesthetics and general feel of the festival were insane. The location, the combination of art, music and food. Wherever you looked there was something inspiring and amazing, and the line up blew my mind. Being one of the best organised festivals, it;s safe to say Flow festival will definitely see me there again.

My first look for flow was a relaxed casual look that isn't only perfect for this festival, but I'll wear this day in, day out back in the UK. Now the main aim at a festival is to dress cool but comfortable. You want to make sure you have the comfiest footwear as you'll be standing, and also you want your outfit to be appropriate for weather and also I guess the genre of the festival. Also ladies wearing dresses or skirts don't forget the asbolute essential if you'll be wearing dresses or skirts, check out these anti chub rub shorts here 

This  2 in 1 midi cami dress really is perfect to fit the bill. The monochrome colour palate lends it self to almost any accessory or theme. 

Chokers are all the rage at the moment and this style has a particular western style to it. A BIG tip I tell everyone is don't splash out on 'plus sized' chokers, buy ones from primark etc and add on a chain extender at the back (you can pick packs up on amazon/ebay.) I've saved myself so much not splashing out the extra couple of quid brands seem to charge. It also means you have the options that plus brands don't seem to cater for.

I wore my trusty Stan Smiths with this look. Not only are they comfortable but they look cool with the recognisable green back and logo on the tongue.

I also had a pair of round sunglasses, just because the weather was especially nice this day :p.

My main suggestion with hair and make up is to keep it simple. I did a half up half down style but I do love the plaited hair look. Through out the festival I did add glitter to my face and hair though and seriously the amount of people who complimented it was insane. Again don't spend a fortune on this sort of stuff. Amazon and Ebay has options as cheap as £1.50 and look amazing.
